Bunnies & Burrows at Poisonwood Creek

Bunnies and Burrows is a tabletop roleplaying game based loosely on the novel/movie Watership Down. You may already be familiar with role-playing games like Dungeons and Dragons. Bunnies and Burrows employs many similar concepts, like collaborative storytelling, creating characters with statistics and abilities, and rolling dice when randomness is needed. But instead of humans, the player characters are normal rabbits (if a little more intelligent and resourceful than is usual for the real-life species).

This site is intended as a home for a specific campaign I'm putting together. Players are encouraged to read these materials to come to understand the world we will be playing in, what their characters should know from the outset, what is normal, and what is abnormal. Of course, abnormal things are likely to happen in the course of play, but it's nice to be able to recognize them.

About Our Campaign

Information about our campaign: the home warren, the lay of the land, notable animals one might know of from the start, and how to make a character that fits.

A Note on Sourcebooks

GURPS Bunnies and Burrows was written for the GURPS 3rd Edition rules, but we are adapting it for GURPS 4th edition. It is worth noting that Bunnies is pretty adaptable to any "universal" system. For now we're using GURPS. Maybe that will change sometime in the future if everyone is game to try something new down the road.

For reference, here are the rules we will be using in our campaign:

All our players should read the GURPS Lite rules before we get started, to get an idea of what to expect and the basics of how the game is played.

If you pick up a copy of the B&B sourcebook, please keep your nose out of the GM section for the time being.
